Trump in Grand Rapids

On April 2, 2024, President Trump visited Grand Rapids following the murder of a young woman at the hands of her boyfriend, and illegal alien, who had been deported in 2020 but snuck back into the US.  The press conference, attended by 100 Republicans from across Michigan, was very somber due to the circumstances, and came at the conclusion of a private round table discussion between President Trump and Michigan law enforcement members. President Trump was endorsed by the Police Officers Association of Michigan during the press conference.

The 8th District was represented by former Attorney General Bill Schuette, Police Chief Jason Wise, and Chairwoman Anne DeLisle. (Congressman Moolenaar sent his regards to all those in western Saginaw and Midland counties whom he represented up until November 2022.)
