Beware of the Rank Choice vote SCAM!
Must stop RCV.. DO NOT SIGN

Another year, another out-of-state backed proposal to rewrite Michigan’s Constitution.

Yesterday, a Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) ballot initiative was submitted to the State Board of Canvassers—complete with a slick, 100-word summary designed to trick voters into supporting a fundamental change to how we vote.

Let’s break it down

I’ve been fighting these national progressive efforts for over a decade—and this one is no different.

Cycle after cycle, these groups come in with millions of dollars, clever messaging, and language designed to mislead voters who don’t have time to read the fine print.

Here’s the 100-word summary voters will see on their petitions and ballots:

“Constitutional amendment to guarantee voters in Michigan the right to: rank candidates in order of preference in most federal, state, and certain local elections; require that candidates for major offices

receive a majority of votes to be elected; receive timely notice of changes to polling places or voting procedures; cast a ballot if in line at the time polls close; use secure and accessible paper ballots in all elections, preserved for certification, recounts, and audits; vote for eligible write-in candidates not listed on the ballot; participate in primary elections held at least 140 days before the general election.”

Sounds harmless, right? Almost reasonable? That’s the point.

But buried inside this proposal is a mandatory Ranked Choice Voting system for most state, federal and local elections.

That’s the real goal.

And the drafters? They were smart.

They’ve included two key lines that are specifically engineered to win over well-meaning Republicans and casual voters:

Guarantee paper ballots

Guarantee ballot preservation for recounts

Sounds great… until you realize Michigan already does both.

Michigan already uses paper ballots. Clerks are already required by law to preserve them for recounts and audits.

There is no need to enshrine this in the Constitution—unless your actual intent is to distract and deceive.

This is a Trojan horse.

It looks reasonable. It sounds moderate. But inside is a fundamentally broken and dangerous system that confuses voters, delays results, and creates chaos—especially in close elections.

Just ask Alaska. Or San Francisco.

Ranked Choice Voting is not about “majority winners” or “better elections.” It’s about manipulating outcomes and silencing outsider candidates who don’t have institutional backing.

It’s also a nightmare for election officials—and a gift to liberal consultants and chaos agents.

Don’t fall for the pretty packaging. Don’t let good people be tricked by language designed to manipulate. And don’t hand over Michigan’s elections to national groups that want to rewrite our laws from DC and San Francisco boardrooms.

This fight is just getting started.

First up, we need to make sure voters understand: This isn’t reform. It’s a scam.

Below are references explaining why Rank Choice Voting is NOT in alignment with what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our Constitutional Republic and why it is dangerous for Michigan and America.

We must educate ourselves and educate those within our circles of influence. Please share these references and discourage your family and friends from signing the petition.
